THE CREEPER

There once was a super hero named Bobby . He is not really much of a super hero, but he thinks he is. Everyone in his town all just play along, it is either because they don’t want to crush his dreams or that they just have the common sense not to talk to him.

During the day he keeps up the genius charade of a socially awkward kid. While at night he walks all around the town by himself looking around for criminals. Blissfully unaware that he isn’t going to find any crime in South Hadley. And elated by the misconception that he would be able to stop crime if he would find it. He calls himself The Creeper because he creeps around town looking for bad guys. But all the people in town call him that for a completely different reason. Yes he is a pretty creepy guy.

At school Bobby is a pretty good student except for that time when he went all around the school looking for a sidekick. As you might have guessed no body wanted the job. Eventually his psychiatrist took the job just so that they could get back to their session. Unfortunately Bobby started calling him every night asking him to fight crime with him. This was followed shortly after by a restraining order and Bobby being forced to find a new sidekick and a new psychiatrist.

The psychiatrists’ name was Rico Melhorn. And it turns out that the reason that he got the restraining order was because he was nefarious. He was also not happy about having a new super hero in town that might thwart his evil deeds. So Rico hatched a plan to get rid of Bobby.

Rico posed as a street vendor, he tricked bobby into buying his merchandise for a million dollars. (Believe it or not but this was not a very hard task.) Unfortunately Bobby didn’t have a million dollars. It was then that Bobby realized that he would not be able to make any money as a super hero. So he decided to become a super villain. This made Rico even madder, having an enemy is bad but having a rival just plain sucks. Rico decided that there wasn’t enough room on the dark side for both of them so he began making a new plan, and this one was meant to make Bobby a hero again.

So he went back to his old disguise of the psychiatrist. He tried to provoke Bobby into going back to being a super hero; as it turns out Bobby didn’t really like being a super villian either, but he thought that he needed to stay a super villain in order to make enough money to pay back the street vendor. Rico was starting to loathe Bobby moe and more now.

Nothing was going right for Rico; he only had one last hope. He called up his cousin Barack Obama and asked him to give a million dollars to Bobby. So good old Barack just raised some taxes and put the country into an even deeper debt. But at least he helped out his cousin. You should have seen Bobby’s face when the president came up to him and told him that he would give him a million dollars just to continue fighting crime.

While Bobby was going back to the street vendor, he realized the resemblance to him and Bobby’s old psychiatrist. But as you might imagine good old Bobby just assumed that they were identical twins.

So now Rico had finally stopped the competition. But he still had to think of some way to stop Bobby from foiling all of his evil plans. So he hired his cousin barrack as an evil sidekick. He thought that he would be unstoppable with the president of the United States by his side. But Bobby hired a sidekick of his own; it was Oscar de la Hoya. Who was the greatest boxer of all time back in at the apex of his career.

Obama first tried to deport Bobby, but Oscar, who is a glutton for fighting just beat up all of the people that he sent to make a wanton abduction of Bobby. They then tried to send in a bunch of soldiers to take him out, but Oscar beat them up as soon as they converged on their super hero hideout. They even sent in the incredible hulk, but I guess nobody is able to take on the golden boy.

Eventually the truculent Rico realized that him and Bobby were at an impasse, and gave up on trying to take him on Bobby. He soon retired from villainy; shortly after that he was alienated from Obama. Rico wrote a very successful book called the noun rule. Barrack Obama continued on with his presidency. But if you ever see any of the laws he is trying to pass I guess you could say that he is still a super villain. Bobby's ambitions to be a super hero were depleted soon after; Him and Oscar became famous with their eccentric skill in tag team fighting. Their strategy mostly involved Bobby running in circles then tagging Oscar once the opponents got really dizzy and confounded.

In the end Bobby never realized how good of a super hero he was. He never even knew that he had an enemy. But Rico will definitely never forget all the trouble that Bobby Loughrey gave him.

  1. I believe the conflict is Bobby must defeat the evil Rico unknowing that Rico even exists. This is an external conflict. It is resolved when Rico gives up on destroying Bobby Loughrey. I think Bobby develops a lot throughout the story. This charecter development is based on the conflict between the antagonist (Rico) and the protagonist (Bobby). I think the charecter had no epiphany, but still was able to develop.

My favorite part is the introduction. Kevin is right, this is totally something I would do. Not really, but the way he describes it is very informative and interesting. "There once was a super hero named Bobby Loughrey. He is not really much of a super hero, but he thinks he is." This line shows who Bobby Loughrey truly is. The story best quality is charecters. Kevin creates great charecters that are fun to read about.

The theme of the story is good always triumphs over evil. Even though Bobby blindly walks through eveerything, he still wins because his intentions are good. I think this story is perfect, and also very factual. It is well written and I don't think it should be changed.

  2. 1. I'm pretty sure the conflict is that Bobby the super hero has to defeat Rico without even knowing that he is evil or even that he exists. the conflict in the story is external.
    2. I think that Bobby develops in the story even though he is probably completely unaware that he is changing. He did not even know he had an enemy but his character still changed.
    3. I liked the part where Rico calls in his cousin Obama, it was part of the rising action. It was kind of randomly inserted, but I enjoyed that part.
    4. The story's best quality was its characters. They kind of remind me of some real people, although I'm not sure who they are.
    5. The stry's them is that every time there is evil, good will always triumph. Rico was extremely evil, but Bobby defeted him not even knowing of his foe.
    6. It could use a little revising in a few parts to increase clarity for the reader. I enjoyed this story.

  3. I. The conflict of the story is that a villain named Rico trying to get rid of the superhero named Bobby so he can continue his evil plans. The conflict is external. The resolution is that Rico finally gives up trying to get rid of Bobby and retires from villainy. I thought the conflict was random, but it worked in the story. The story wouldn't work with it being more dramatic. It was fine as it is.

II. Bobby changes in the rising action. He has to make money for the vender(Rico in disguise). So, Bobby decides to become a villain. Rico doesn't want a rival so he tries to turn Bobby back into a superhero. Bobby becomes a villain and a superhero. The author gives the character Bobby good development in the beginning. The characters development would make the resolution a different outcome. Rico wouldn't have given up so easy on getting rid of Bobby.

III. The entire story was a good read. The climax was the best part. When Rico sends people to take out Bobby, even the hulk. Also, the lines " He called up his cousin Barack Obama and asked him to give a million dollars to Bobby. So good old Barack just raised some taxes and put the country into an even deeper debt." I thought that was a good way to use current events in a story.

IV. The story arch was well written. The whole idea of the story was good. Also, the use of current events and famous people in the story. Bobby's cousin was Barack Obama and his side kick was Oscar de la Hoya. I thought it was smart.

    V. The stories theme is hard to figure out. I think it is the classic idea of a villain trying to stop a superhero.

VI. I thought it was good in spelling and grammar. He forgot to add the vocab into his story. Overall it was a good short story.

  4. The conflict in this story is that a super villain named Rico is trying to get rid of Bobby who is a super hero in town. This conflict is external and is resolved when Rico gives up trying to rid Bobby of his super hero ways. I wasn't very invested in the resolution because the story wasn't very exciting. The conflict could have been described better. Bobby changes over time because he becomes an evil villain and this takes place in the rising action. The development occurs because he buys something from a street vendor and needs to pay it off. There wouldn't be a plot if the character didn't change. I didn't really have a favorite part of this story because it was unexciting. If I had to choose it would be when Oscar de la Hoya beats up a bunch of people because it is completely unreasonable event. It occurs in the climax of the story. "Obama first tried to deport Bobby, but Oscar just beat up all of the people that he sent. They then tried to send in a bunch of soldiers to take him out, but Oscar beat them up too." this stood out to me because it is something that not probable. This tales best quality is its originality. It is unique in almost every way and I have no idea how Kevin came up with it. There really isn't a seed except the cliche of villain verse super hero. The main thing the author needs to improve on is adding vocabulary.
